Koh Tao Montra Resort is a 4-star resort in Mae Haad, Koh Tao, with a beachfront setting and a large three-level outdoor pool. Koh Tao Montra Resort faces the beach; Mae Haad Beach is 150 m away, and the Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument is 250 m away. Food options nearby include La Latina Koh Tao at 50 m. Rama V Shrine stands 400 m from the resort.

Koh Tao has no airport, so visitors arrive by ferry at Mae Haad pier. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 250 m from the resort, and the resort offers a pick-up service as well as a walkable connection to the pier. Ferries link the island with Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Chumphon: crossings from Samui take around 1.5–2 hours, while the Chumphon journey takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. There is no parking at the resort. Let the resort know your expected arrival time in advance; check-in is from 14:00 to 22:00.

Haad Sairee, 1.3 km away, is the island's main beach strip, while Sairee Viewpoint is 1.5 km from the resort and looks towards Koh Nang Yuan. The island's dive schools run trips to reefs and offshore sites, and Koh Nang Yuan is 4.3 km away, reached by long-tail boat. The west and south coasts, including Mae Haad, are generally the calmer side from November to March; the east coast is calmer from April to October.
